... 87-61. IMO the team quit with about 8 minutes to go.
Riley was chucking up shots not worrying about the flow of the offense and getting beat badly on D, Pickett seemed intent on being a scorer instead of a PG from 10 minutes left in the 1st half on, transition defense was non-existent, and interior defense was quite honestly pathetic.
Clemson held us to 40% from the field (I'd argue we held ourselves to that), forced 13 turnovers, and allowed us to shoot silly 3s for a 2-18 clip. The good news... we did go 9-11 from the charity stripe.
For years I've wondered why CMG allows his upperclassmen to shoot at will without repercussions. From Grizzard to Kennedy to Felix to now Riley... it seems we always have one upperclassmen that'll chuck 'em up and not ride the bench for it. I know Riley saw the bench for a minute, but he still logged 33 minutes (the most of any starters). Losing to Clemson is understandable... getting run out of your own building is another thing. This bad loss killed all the good will built up the past 2 weeks.
