Revised Final Four prediction

South- UCLA (beats UF and Dayton)
East- Virginia (beats Michigan St and UConn)
West- Arizona (beats SDSU and Baylor)
Midwest- Louisville (beats Kentucky and Tennessee)

I believe the winner of the West/Midwest Final Four matchup wins the tournament.

I might have let my sheer hatred for all things Gators get in the way of logic...

Unrelated, I suspect a lot of coaching vacancies will be filled in the next 10 days.

a bigger scoop would be to tell us who's the next program grant "bill currys" himself to.

Getting out of town before they can get you is always a good strategy.

I think we should wait a week before getting hopes up/down... there will be a lot of coaching movement in the coming 10 days. I suspect the Dayton job will be open and that will be a REAL possibility for Grant if he wants to leave Tuscaloosa.

Not likely. Dayton gave Miller a pretty sweet contract extension. I think he stays put for now.

Not getting my hopes up either way. I'd honestly be pretty surprised if CAG was not coaching Alabama next year. Just amazed at that story.

My guess is he's planning on returning, but if something came up he'd hop in a heartbeat.
And we all know contract extensions mean jack squat without a huge buyout clause.

The thing is, Dayton is a nice gig. Great fan support, good recruiting base in the Midwest. Plus, I think it's only a matter of time before Dayton jumps ship in the A-10 and lands in the Big East. It's no longer a mid-major and Miller can win consistently if he stays there.

I dunno about the Big East... is Dayton considered a good academic school? From what I remember the Catholic 7 broke from the Big East partially due to sub-standard academics with the other FB schools.... and the fact the commish botched expansion of the league.

Grant is not listed as one of the candidates according to the Tampa Bay Times

Rather than start a new post, I'll leave this here. In case you haven't seen it, an interesting article on former player, Chris Hines. I loved his toughness (he was the heart and soul of that 2010-11 team) and wish we could get a few more like him.
