Part 2- ACTUAL BAMAHOOPS email addresses

Right side has links to send hate mail, questions, suggestions, and whatever your heart desires. I probably will add a group one somewhere down the road. EDIT- group email added at top.

Since it is the off-season and I have some spare time I might do some "experimenting" with the look of this site... maybe even a messageboard (still up in the air) for posters to start threads on.

We will try to add more content to the site whether in the form of more pictures from games, recruiting news (I will excuse myself from that as I don't follow that aspect), more pregame write-ups, and scheduling news.

Part 1- New url

Bookmarks should point to www.bamahoops.com now.
I'll continue working on the comments section migration if it isn't too much of a pain to move. If it is, then I'll recreate it.

I'll try to update this as much as I can in my spare time.

Let's Talk About Recruiting

We promised more recruiting coverage to our loyal readers. Unfortunately, I think I speak for all of the writers here when I say we have been engrossed with real life. As a result, posts have been few. We hope to improve that as spring gives way to summer. Okay, let's get to it.

A quick note: The recruiting posts I write will only center on the next incoming class (2016). Avery Johnson and his staff are busy recruiting 2017 and beyond, but until those recruits commit I don't see much relevance in writing about classes that will not play a part in the next Alabama season. I will say that the 2017 class in the state of Alabama looks very promising with multiple 5 and 4 star recruits. If Avery is able to put that "fence around the state", we will have some exciting times to look forward to in the years ahead.

Rumor- John Pelphrey to join Avery Johnson's staff

If true a good hire. Probably not a long term gig as I suspect he'll be a HC again in another year or 2.

I'll take it.

Alabama/Texas Schedule Home-and Home Series

It's April and we have schedule news! CBS Sports Jon Rothstein reported via his Twitter account that Alabama and Texas have scheduled a home-and-home series, with the first game to be played in Austin on December 2nd. Texas will return the favor for the 2017-18 season. Texas finished 20-13 and were invited to the NCAA Tournament where they lost in the first round to Northern Iowa. The Longhorns are coached by Shaka Smart. I assume Alabama will be part of the SEC/Big 12 Challenge next season so expect to see another Big 12 opponent when the full schedule is released at a later date.

Other confirmed non-conference opponents for Alabama next season include home games with Dayton and Clemson, and a return game with Oregon. The non-conference schedule success that Alabama had this past season played a big part in Alabama's place on the NCAA Tournament bubble into late February. Makes sense that Avery would want to play another challenging non-conference slate.
