Kenny Walker finding success in Europe

I wonder how many languages he speaks. He's certainly travelled a lot. Hopefully he's saving up so he can live comfortably when his basketball career is over.

Maui Invitational schedule, a note on the Olympics, and Topeka, KS
- Maui Invitational schedule. It looks like we play at 7PM Hawaii time on Monday the 24th, 4:30PM the 25th, and 5PM the 26th (g). Ok, we're confirmed for Monday and I believe we play the following day at 5PM. The 26th... well, that might be the 11:30AM game.
- The Olympics bore me to tears. I'd rather watch reruns of Full House.
- Topeka, KS- according to tripadvisor.com the #1 rated restaurant in town is the Olive Garden. Either this poll is skewed by Olive Garden employees or food choices are slim in Topeka.

Maui Invitational tickets onsale
Went onsale Wednesday actually. I had plans of buying some that day, but work got in the way. Booster tickets are the cheapest you'll find as of now.
I'm thinking I'm going to wait... not sure when I'll get to Maui and I haven't seen the schedule with times as of yet.
Get your tickets here.

Bucks send Mo Williams to Cavs in three-team deal
This should be an improvement for the Cavs. I would bet that Mo is more than ready to play with a guy like Lebron as well. Williams still has five years, $43 million left on his contract.

Florida basketball schedule
Keeping with the theme of the past week... here's their schedule... sort of.
The TBA games are the OReilly Auto Parts CBE Classic (hosted by the Gators) on Nov 14 and 16th, then move on to KC for 2 more games. As for the known non-conference games... can you say CUPCAKE CITY BABEE!!
Prediction: 22 wins, 10-6 in conference play, and sweating it out on Selection Sunday. I know 10-6 normally gets you in with no problem, but as weak as the SEC is shaping up to be the Gators have to impress in non-conference play.

Kentucky basketball schedule
As usual the non-conference schedule is a bear, but that's to be expected as Kentucky doesn't duck teams (unlike Duke).
Wildcats schedule
Prediction: 26 wins, 12-4 conference and a deep run into the NCAAs.
Edit- I had to add this youtube clip of Patterson. I can't believe I didn't see this last year.

UGA basketball schedule
I give you the defending SECT champs schedule.
Out of conference schedule is alright with Va Tech, Missouri, and Illinois on the slate in addition to the NIT Tip-off (which they open with Purdue).
Prediction: 15 wins and a 5-11 conference record.

Maui Invitational Bracket Announced
Check it out here. We open up with Oregon, and if we manage to win that, we get North Carolina in the second round. Ouch.
Tennessee basketball schedule and more
Warning... orange has been known to cause blindness. Link to schedule here.
Of note, their out of conference schedule has Kansas, Gonzaga, and Marquette as well as the Old Spice Classic. For those wondering at home, the Old Spice Classic field is Georgetown, Michigan State, Maryland, Gonzaga, Oklahoma State, Siena, and Wichita State. That's one heck of a tourney. Tennesse could play Gonzaga more times than they play us in the regular season.
I predict 24 wins, 11-5 SEC, and a 2nd round exit in the NCAAs.
Also, Arkansas raised ticket prices for 2008-2009 season. Considering they're going to suck I find this move at best curious. Then again, Alabama raised football ticket prices even though the product on the field wasn't as good as say... the early to mid 90s.
It'll cost you more to see a Hogs game.

Piecing together the schedule
With all the talk about schedules lately, I thought I would search for all of our known opponents, see what schedules have been released, and put together as much of our schedule as possible. Hopefully this might be helpful to some out there trying to plan trips to away games, etc. Here's what we know so far:
Sunday, Nov. 16 v. Mercer
Monday, November 24 - Wednesday, November 26: Maui Invitational, Maui, HI (Bracket has not been set yet, but we will play 3 games, possible opponents include Chaminade, Indiana, North Carolina, Notre Dame, Oregon, St. Joseph's, and Texas)
Saturday, Dec. 20 v. Tennessee State
Sunday, Dec. 28 v. Yale
Sunday, Jan. 11, v. LSU
Wednesday, Jan. 21 v. Ole Miss
Saturday, Jan. 24 v. Kentucky
Sunday, Feb. 8 @LSU
Saturday, Feb. 28, @ Ole Miss
Sunday, March 8, @ Tennessee
That's it for now. I would assume our non-conference schedule will also include a home game against Texas A&M, a trip to Clemson, and a neutral site game against Marquette in Indianapolis. There are also rumors that we will play a Big 12 team on a neutral site.
As for the conference schedule, of course we will play all the western division teams home and away, and this year we will go to Vandy (ugh) and Florida, and we will get Georgia and South Carolina at home.
Interesting that we already have 2 Sunday games scheduled. We go to Baton Rouge in early Feb. Fat Tuesday is not till Feb. 24, but the party should be getting started, that might be a fun game to go to and make a side trip to New Orleans. I'm hoping to make it out to Maui, but we will see.

LSU basketball schedule
Unless I miscounted (or counted an exhibition game) LSU has 21 home games this year. Wow!
Their non-conference schedule is stout with Washington State and Xavier visiting, Utahin Salt Lake City, and Texas A&M in Houston.
2008-2009 schedule
I say LSU wins 17 games with a 6-10 conference record.
