Shawn Kemp Jr commits to Bama
I pass this along to you... hopefully the kid is 1/2 as good as his dad was (before he started closing down all you can eat buffets in Seattle). Read it here.
finebammer: The last two schools in contention were Nevada and Washington, and I believe Georgia and Georgia Tech were also looking at him. At least these were schools mentioned in the articles that Bobbyjack posted. From what I've been able to gather the kid has a tremendous upside but he's not going to win SEC Freshman of the Year. However, over the course of 3-4 seasons, he could turn into a real steal for Gottfried or whoever the coach is. He could turn out to be a player a lot like Erwin Dudley who didn't come in highly regarded but grew into one of the top players in the league.
You watch. This will be a steal for the Tide. I've heard he didn't even start playing until the 8th grade. He may take a year or two, but he'll be a beast in the SEC.
