This Embarassment Has To Be Stopped!

Alabama has lost four of its last five games against an api team that has been among the weakest fielded in the SEC in the past 15 years. There is no excuse for that sort of "performance." Only one person can be held accountable and he should be held accountable as soon as possible. Two years ago is too late for me! I'm glad I went for a bicycle ride instead of listening to that fiasco on the radio. Mark Gottfried, you should be ashamed of yourself for what you have done to our once proud program!

Edit (bobbyjack)- had to add the box score to this fiasco. At least Torrance played well (again).

It was bad. With the exception of Torrance, no one showed up today. Auburn was up 17 points five minutes into the game.

Like the fans, it's as if the players expect to lose on the road as well.

I almost threw the computer out of the window when Gottfried said during the post-game, "You have to give them [Auburn] a lot of credit." I'm so sick of hearing that shit after a loss.

As I've mentioned, I live in Austin. I listen to the coaches show with Rick Barnes regularly because I respect him as a coach and what he's done with the program here. During and after the loss to Oklahoma, he was all over his team for failing to step up in a big game and play with more emotion. He benched several starters during that game, got after his players. He took some heat from some fans and media here for criticizing his team the way he did. But look what happened today in their next game - they're destroying Texas Tech in Lubbock. Tech isn't Oklahoma, but it's the response by the team that is important.

Hillman and Gee were fricken awful today. Hillman had 8 turnovers himself. Yet, I never heard him taken out of the game for anything other than rest. I would have had his ass on the bench for most of the game. He was awful. And Gee wasn't much better.

The team as a whole for the last two games has been terrible defensively. At least they were playing decent on the defensive end earlier in the season. If they can't get back to playing at least decent defense, we can count the number of remaining victories on one hand.

It's hard right now, but I'm going to keep pulling for the team. Hopefully, this nightmare will be corrected at the end of the season, regardless of what happens going forward.

I missed the game due to my son's B-day party... glad I did.

Typical road game. Kudos to Mitchell for actually enduring it in its entirety. When we fell down by 22 in the second half, I decided it was a good time to go for a run.

While Torrance played well, his intentional foul that led to a 7 point trip in the first half was a killer. It sounded like Hollinger was really struggling as well. I think it's obvious that we aren't going to get good consistent play at the point without Steele. I also think it's obvious that Torrance at least has enough upside that we can live with the inconsistencies because he gives us our best chance of winning. Hollinger needs to find his shot and do a better job of taking care of the ball, we need him to contribute.

I'm glad I opted to come home next weekend instead of this one.

I turned on the game and we were down by 15 in the first freaking half! I met my buddies and went for a ride. I'd rather face the idiot Mobile drivers and dodge the 18 wheelers than endure that piece of fecal material.
