Barn preview (and trophy presentation)

Auburn comes into the game on a 4 game losing streak. The last team they beat.... us in that EPIC 49-37 debacle that probably killed any real chance we had at an AT LARGE berth (and LSU buried it). They lost a heartbreaker @ Ole Miss 88-55 on Saturday.

Season stats

Jordan Price and Noel Johnson are the only ones to watch outside. the rest of them are AUful out there. Rob Chubb is their leading rebounder with Frankie Sullivan and Chris Denson leading the way at 14.7 and 11.3 PPG each. Not a whole lot to write about them as THEY SUCK. Not as much as Mi$$i$$ippi $tate, but nevertheless... they really suck. They suck so bad that Barbee juggles his starting lineup more times than Joan Rivers gets plastic surgery.

Shaquille Johnson had a nice game @ Ole Miss (18pts on 7-11 shooting). He was the only one to hit double digits. Like I said, they suck, but being that this is a 'rivalry' game they'll probably come out energized to spoil whatever chance we have at making the NCAAT (far fetched as it is now as an AT LARGE team).

- .411 FG
- .325 3pt FG
- dead even rebound margin
- 7.1 steals

We struggled with Mi$$ $tate and after the heartbreaking loss @ LSU I suspect the team will be down. I fully expect a 55-48 game.

Game time is 7PM EST on ESPNU. I'll be listening to it on internet radio.

Pathetic crowd in coleman, just awful, my guess is some people will show up at halftime.

Good second half, Lunardi currently moves us into the first four out, now comes the biggest 2 game road trip of the Anthony Grant era. RTR

now, grant's worst nightmare is realized. UT has defeated florida. and saturday, they're gonna be looking to take it out on somebody.

but hey, alabama's shelling out a cool two million a year for grant to do something. is it to rack up a winning record against the tin cans of the conference? or is it to challenge the top teams of the conference?

the bare minimum a legitimate D-1 basketball coach should do is make the NCAA tournament. folks around here have no interest in a team headed to the NIT. in December, this team told us who they were.

@ auburn, they told us.

@ lsu, ditto.

now here we are again. another chance to show the folks who they are.

who is anthony grant??

we'll likely find out what we already know in gainesville, saturday.

Blah, blah, blah. Ray, your rhetoric has grown stale. You need to change the script at some point, buddy. Otherwise, people's heads drop and they just snooze through the rest of it. Zzzzzzzzzzzz.

Tough first half. The open shots were there, but just didn't fall. In the second half the team attacked the basket more and the offense improved because of it. Releford and Jacobs played well, but, in my opinion, Retin was the player of the game. He sparked the team in the second half when he replaced Lacey (who is really struggling) and that helped the team get going. A great opportunity awaits in Gainesville. It's going to be a tough game, but Florida has looked mortal in recent weeks. I'm hoping for the best.

Grants "Worst nightmare" just gave him a chance to win the SEC saturday.
