Jerry Palm's new bracket is out, and we are now projected as the 8 seed in the Midwest Region, matched up against Pitt in Des Moines. Joe Lunardi has us as the play-in game for a 12 seed against Cincinnati. With all due respect to Lunardi, there is no way a team with an RPI of 32, in our conference, is going to Dayton. ESPN uses a lot of advanced metrics (BPI, Kenpom) etc, that are neither part of the official criteria, nor have they historically been used by the selection committee. I believe Lunardi will make some drastic changes to his bracket in the week before selections.
