After another disappointing home loss, the team travels to College Station to play the Aggies of Texas A&M. The Aggies come in a disappointing 14-13 (6-9) and losers of 3 of their last 4. Despite the record, they really haven't been blown out outside of Kentucky so note they've been competitive all season.
Tyler Davis is going to be a load inside to contain. He leads the Aggies with 14.4 PPG and brings down 7 boards a game shooting over 63% from the field. Let's see what our bigs do to limit him.
Robert Williams leads the team in boards at 7.8 while also scoring around 12/game. He also leads the team in blocks with 72 for the year.
Admon Gilder and JC Hampton are the most consistent threats from beyond the arc as both are over 40% from there. Gilder will test Ingram (and likewise) with the dribble drive.
- 72.4 PPG
- 46.8% FG
- 33.8% 3pt FG
- +5.6 rebound margin
- 14.4 turnovers/game
Prediction- We play soooo much better on the road, but I also think with a short turnaround and a heartbreaking loss I don't see how we pull this one off. Maybe DJC and MS pull some chicanery and drop some laxatives in the Aggie dinner, otherwise... Aggies 70 Alabama 62.
Game time is 7PM CST on ESPN2.
