Khavon Moore Visits Alabama

Khavon Moore has emerged in recent weeks as the top 2018 target for Avery Johnson and his staff. Moore, a 6'8, 187 lb forward from Macon, Georgia, is a top 30 national recruit, and the 3rd ranked recruit in the always talent-rich state of Georgia. Moore brings a skill set to the table very similar to Braxton Key, in that he can play different spots on the floor, with the ball-handling skills of a guard. New assistant coach Yasir Rosemond appears to be leading the recruitment of Moore. Other schools that have offered Moore include Auburn, Florida, Florida State, LSU, Oklahoma, Uconn, Georgia, Georgia Tech, and many others.

Kira Lewis, a top 75 recruit in the class of 2019 also paid a visit to Tuscaloosa this past week. Lewis is a 6'3, 155 lb point guard from Hazel Green, Alabama. He's the 3rd ranked recruit for what is shaping up to be a strong 2019 class in the state of Alabama. Antoine Pettway is the lead recruiter for Kira. Other schools that have offered are Auburn, Dayton, UAB, Murray State, Oklahoma State and Middle Tennessee, among others.

Jared Sherfield (6'4, 160 lb, SG), a member of the 2018 class, did not have to travel far to visit the Alabama campus - he attends Paul Bryant High School in Tuscaloosa. There isn't much information out there about Jared so he's very much under the radar right now. I found some video of him, which I included below. Good size for a guard. Not an eye-popping athlete, but he can get up and down the floor, and can finish at the rim. He appears to have a variety of ways to score the ball. There's no indication that Alabama has offered him yet. Like the rest of the Alabama 2018 recruiting class, it's debatable if he's a legit high-major prospect.

The final recruit that I know was on campus this past week was Tyson Jackson (6'7, 185), a forward in the 2018 class. Tyson is from Fairburn, GA. Antoine appears to be the lead recruiter. Jackson also has offers from Georgia, DePaul, South Florida, UAB and Middle Tennessee. Like Sherfield, there's not a ton of video out there; also like Sherfield, it's debatable if Jackson is legitimate high-major prospect. What video I did find of Tyson was not substantial enough to include here.
